Want to remove VPC3

Postby sunshine » February 20th, 2015, 3:02 pm

Hi every one, I recently purchased a Charger with VPC3, it has 3 pulleys. Don't know if it's a Charger 1 or 2? I would like to know if anyone knows the set-up to remove VPC. I find the kite moves to fast for me. I tried it for the first time on snow and could not keep it steady to put my board on. I am use to older twin skin, this one is powerful and fast. Can I just attach to the pig tails on the ends of spars and forget about the middle loop? I found set-ups on the net but they are all difficult to understand. What is the best set-up. My name is Alain.

Hi Alain,

Yes, I guess you can remove the VPC with no problem, done this on my Synergy 10m for high winds.
The steering radius becomes much bigger!
All the best.

The VPC can be removed. 3 Pulleys = Charger 1.

You can disassemble the VPC and install pigtails like you would find on a non-VPC Arc. The pigtail specs will depend on the size of the kite.

The bar pressure will increase and the turn rate will be slower. But if you muscle it you can still make it fly snappy.
