Synergy 19 V Venom 1 19

I'm still looking for a replacement for my old V1 19. There's a Syn 19 for sale, too far away for a try so thought I'd ask here to see what people think of the Syn 19. Seems Tim is a fan. Might be a better bet than that P2 18 I still have my eye on and about 1/2 the price.

The Syn 19 definitely a step up from V1 19. By now your venerable V1 19 from Bob Dawson I would think ready for the PL kite museum. My V1 19 with became my go to kite for quite a few seasons felt mushy and unresponsive versus the Syn 19. The Syn 19 as you probably already know comes with the Arc stability and ease of handling we have all come to know and love. The Syn 19 will definitely give you more low end grunty power than the P2 18. The latter designed more as land kite, but will certainly work on water.

Assuming the Syn 19 in reasonable condition costs half the price of the P2 18, I'd go for the Syn 19. The P2 18 will work on water, but it comes with a much narrower profile for land use. They both use the same VPC bridle which I am using a lot and think it works least for me.

Hope this helps.. Let us know what you decide to do and how it all works out...
